Powderham Historic Vehicle Gathering.

From the website: Dear Exhibitor, Our 43rd Historic Vehicle Gathering will be held at the usual venue in the magnificent grounds of Powderham Castle, Kenton, Nr. Exeter on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July 2016 In 2015 we exceeded expectation and we also saw a significant rise in footfall to the event over the two days, attracting people from far and wide. We donated £10,000 to various charities and TheGivingMachine helped us to ensure even more causes were able to benefit. Look out for your tear-off voting slip on your entry pass so YOU help decide who receives a donation. It can be one we’ve chosen (see above) but you can also vote online and choose your own from a list of local causes. Again this year we are encouraging people to attend in period dress relating to the age of your vehicle. Judging in all classes takes place on Saturday with the prizes given on Sunday. We are also extending the live music to Friday and Saturday night. There will also be local bands playing during the day on Saturday and Sunday. For the dog lovers we have organised a light hearted fun dog show. Whether you have been to the rally before or it will be your first visit, we are confident that you will enjoy the wonderful atmosphere, fun and games to include Veteran, Vintage and Classic Cars, Motorcycles, Classic Commercials, Full size and Miniature Steam Engines, Classic Car Club stands, Trade and Auto jumble and Craft Stalls, Children’s Entertainment, Refreshments and delicious food outlets. There really is something for everyone. Please keep an eye on the website for regular updates at www.historic-vehicle-gathering.info and spread the word to work colleagues, family and friends. We introduced the wearing of coloured wrist bands for ALL exhibitors and visitors in 2015 and as this proved to greatly help the marshalling of the event will be doing so again in 2016. Please make sure you are wearing yours before entering the rally field. The wrist bands are issued along with the vehicle passes. Lastly please bear in mind this entire event is only possible because of the small army of club members and others who freely give their time to ensure that all have a good time at the show. The exit gates are re-opened at 4.30 both days. We would suggest that you might delay your departure time to avoid the inevitable congestion as over 2000 vehicles depart from the rally field and public car park. Thank you for your support. Safe motoring and we look forward to you joining us at the event! Richard Gardiner Rally Chairman To book, please contact Josh Bouskill, South West Group.
